<p>Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park to start the 8-Day Uganda Gorillas &amp; Wildlife family tour.</p>



<p>This morning, you wake up and have an early breakfast in preparation for the 8-Day Uganda Gorillas &amp; Wildlife family tour. After your breakfast, at 6:30 am, your driver and guide will be on hand to help you pack all of your luggage in the safari vehicle and then commence your drive to Murchison Falls National Park. You will make a bathroom break-in Migyera along the Kampala- Gulu highway to also stretch your legs. After the break, you continue to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, Rhino trekking takes about 2 hours in the company of well-trained and knowledgeable local guides.  After this great experience, you will head to the restaurant for your lunch. After lunch, embark on the journey to Murchison Falls National Park.</p>

<p>Day 2: Game Drive and Boat Ride.</p>



<p>In the morning, Today, you are up at 6.00 am, have breakfast and head out for a game drive for a chance to view the glorious day-break from across the open savannah, birds and dotted woodland as well as riverine vegetation along the Nile. Game drive in Murchison Falls National Park is among the best in Uganda, garnished with wonderful birdlife that makes the park a wildlife and birders’ paradise. The park is home to 76 mammal species including herds of buffalo, and elephants that are scattered in the savannah woodland areas. The park is also home to a good number of camouflage leopards as well as a good number of lion prides.</p>



<p>The park is also known for the endangered Rothschild’s Giraffe. On the Nile’s banks and in the pools, you find hippos and crocodiles. You explore the area and are in search of lions, buffalos, elephants, giraffes, antelope and a lot more. At between 10-11 am, you will return to the lodge for relaxation and lunch. After lunch, at 2.00 pm, you will head out for the boat launch to the bottom of the powerful Murchison Falls. This three-hour boat cruise climaxes at the edge of the Rift Valley escarpment at which point you will get off the boat and trek to the top of the falls (wear sports shoes while on the boat for ease of trekking to the top). Having worked up a sweat, once at the top, get bathed in the misty spray that the Nile creates as it forces itself into the 7-metre cleft to create the famous Murchison Falls.</p>



<p>You marvel at the powerful falls and get bathed in the misty spray that the falls create as part of the river Nile gets squeezed into a 7-metre cleft to create the falls as the Nile tumbles over the rift valley escarpment at this point. Take lots of pictures. Your guide will be waiting up top to transfer you back to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.</p>

<p>Day 3: Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park.</p>



<p>After an early morning breakfast, Roots Tours and Travel driver/guide will brief you on this 7 days’ trip. You will set off to Queen Elizabeth National Park. The drive will take you through the lush green vegetation of the countryside and big tea plantations. Depending on the time of arrival you may have an evening game drive in the park. Along the way, you will have lunch and a stopover at the Uganda equator for a photographic moment.</p>



<p>Queen Elizabeth National Park is understandably Uganda’s most popular tourist destination. The park’s diverse ecosystems, which include sprawling savanna, shady, humid forests, sparkling lakes, and fertile wetlands, make it the ideal habitat for a classic big game, ten primate species including chimpanzees, and over 600 species of birds.</p>

<p>Day 4: Chimpanzee Trekking and Boat Ride:</p>



<p>After Breakfast, head out to Kyambura Gorge for chimpanzee trekking. Kyambura Gorge is an underground tropical forest which is an extension of the Queen Elizabeth conservation area. The gorge is 100 meters deep. This dense tropical forest is home to many birds and primate species. Return to the lodge in time for lunch.</p>



<p>In the afternoon take a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel. Kazinga Channel is a 32-kilometre-long natural channel that connects the two Rift Valley lakes of George and Edward. The channel attracts a variety of animals and birds. Enjoy another late afternoon game drive on your way back to the lodge. Most of Queen Elizabeth comprises open grassland and savannah which tends to be moist and woody in the west than the eastern part, Thorny Acacia dominates this savannah habitat with a high concentration of candelabra shrub a cactus that grows along the Kazinga channel and on the kasenyi plains.</p>

<p>Day 5: Drive to Bwindi/ Ishasha Tree Climbing Lions:</p>



<p>After breakfast, you will drive to the southern part of the park heading to the Ishasha sector. Ishasha is famous for tree climbing Lions. The endless Ishasha plains, whose fig trees hide lions ready to pounce on herds of unsuspecting Uganda kob. After Lunch, you will embark on a drive heading to Bwindi&#8217;s impenetrable Forest National Park home of mountain Gorillas.</p>



<p>Arrive at your lodge in the evening and have a relaxed evening. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park lies in southwestern Uganda on the edge of the Rift Valley. Its mist-covered hillsides are blanketed by one of Uganda’s oldest and most biologically diverse rainforests, which dates back over 25,000 years and contains almost 400 species of plants. More famously, this “impenetrable forest” also protects an estimated 459 mountain gorillas – roughly half of the world’s population.</p>

<p>Day 5: Gorilla Trekking:</p>



<p>In the morning after having breakfast, Head to the park headquarters for a briefing about the park and the gorilla tracking activity. Then you will embark on the most memorable journey in your life. The time for trekking can be as little as two hours or as long as seven hours. Once you locate the gorilla family you will be allowed a maximum of one hour observing them.</p>



<p>This biologically diverse region also provides shelter to a further 120 mammals, including several primate species such as baboons and chimpanzees, as well as elephants and antelopes. There are around 350 species of birds hosted in this forest, including 23 Albertine Rift endemics. Bwindi is home to at least 200 butterfly species including the eight Albertine rift endemics. Also home to many reptiles.</p>

<p>Day 6: Drive to Lake Mburo National</p>



<p>In the morning after breakfast, you will drive to Lake Mburo National Park. It is the smallest of Uganda’s savannah national parks and is underlain by ancient Precambrian metamorphic rocks which date back more than 500 million years. It’s home to 350 bird species as well as zebras, impalas, elands, buffalos, oribi, Defassa waterbuck, leopard, hippo, hyena, topi and reedbuck. Enjoy an afternoon game drive before retiring to your lodge for dinner &amp; Overnight.</p>

<p>Day 7: Drive to Kampala/ Entebbe Airport to end the 8-Day Uganda Gorillas &amp; Wildlife family tour</p>



<p>After breakfast at your lodge, you will head out for a morning game drive. Afterwards, you will embark on your journey heading to Entebbe, either to the Airport or hotel. The drive will take you through the beautiful scenery of the western countryside of Uganda via lush green hills. You will have lunch along the way with a stopover at the Uganda Equator for souvenir shopping and a photo moment as you say goodbye to Uganda.</p>

<p>Day 1: Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park to start the 7-Day Best of Uganda Gorillas and Wildlife. </p>



<p>After an early morning breakfast, Roots Tours and Travel driver/guide will brief you on this 7-Day Best of Uganda Gorillas and Wildlife. You will set off to Queen Elizabeth National Park. The drive will take you through the lush green vegetation of the countryside and big tea plantations. Depending on the time of arrival you may have an evening game drive in the park. Along the way, you will have lunch and a stopover at the Uganda equator for a photographic moment.</p>



<p>Queen Elizabeth National Park is understandably Uganda’s most popular tourist destination. <p>In the the morning after breakfast, you will be transferred to Lake Bunyonyi. Lake Bunyonyi is Africa&#8217;s second-deepest lake. Enjoy a quiet relaxing evening on the lakeside. Lake Bunyonyi is a magical resort destination in southwestern Uganda.</p>



<p>The lake is dotted with at least 20 small islands and it’s surrounded by steep terraced hills, exotic rural landscapes and the Virunga mountains backdrop. <p>The clearest way into the universe is through a forest wilderness;
because the wilderness holds more answers to the questions you have thought of
asking. In this 10 days, you will visit the wilderness of Queen Elizabeth, Murchison
Falls, Kibale forest and Bwindi impenetrable national parks, while summing up
the trip with relaxation at Lake Bunyonyi.</p>



<p>These destinations offer their visitors a lot of first hand experiences such as Gorilla and chimpanzee trekking, birding, sightseeing, boat cruise, hiking, community tours, and game drives where you have high chances of spotting the big cats such as the lions, leopards and big mammals like, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, etc. Uganda also prides in having the largest crocodile population in its Kazinga channel. </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Day 1: Pickup and Transfer to Kampala</h2>



<p>Upon your arrival at Entebbe international airport, our
professional tour guide will warmly welcome you to the pearl of Africa, the
guide will then lead you through a very scenic route with lots of eye catching
sites to see. &nbsp;When you get to Kampala, Check-in
to your room for dinner and overnight. </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Day 2: Head to Murchison falls national park via Ziwa Rhino sanctuary<strong> </strong></h2>



<p>After the morning breakfast at the lodge, head to Murchison
falls national park. This journey exposes you to the green plantations and
beautiful hills along the road. Upon reaching Nakasongola district, the driver
guide will take you to trek the only surviving white rhinos in Ziwa rhino
sanctuary. Have lunch here and then embark on the 180km journey to Murchison
falls national park. Have dinner and an overnight stay.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Day 3: Undertake a game Drive and launch Cruise in Murchison falls National Park</h2>



<p>Wakeup to a very nice morning breakfast. Afterwards, head for
a game drive experience where you stand a chance of spotting several wild
animals such as; lions, giraffes, Uganda Kobs, Elephants among others, enjoying
their peace and hunting for the day’s meal.</p>



<p>Later in the afternoon, head for a boat cruise launch were
you will sight the park’s main tourist attraction (the Unique Murchison falls).
However, there are a lot more that come your way such as the Nile crocodiles,
birds, different animals drinking water at the river banks, and hippos along
the sandbanks. Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Day 4: Proceed to Kibale Forest National Park for Primate Encounters</h2>



<p>After breakfast, checkout of the lodge and embark on a 7-8
hours’ journey to the primate world. Kibale National park is recognized as one
of the best destinations to spot about 13 different primate species such as the
chimpanzees, baboons, Colobus monkeys among others. You will have full day
drive with lunch stopover enroute, and checking in to the lodge in the evening</p>



<p>&nbsp;The journey is filled
with sights of beautiful flowers, plantations and the fascinating views of the Albertine
rift valley along the way.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Day 5: Trek Chimpanzees in Kibale forest and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park</h2>



<p>After a delicious breakfast served by a very caring and hospitable
waitress at your lodge, the guide will lead you to the park’s headquarters for
a briefing on the do’s and don’ts while in the jungle. With the accompaniment
of the park rangers, you will be led for the trekking exercise; the sweet
sounds of the monkeys, birds, chimps will welcome you to their hub.</p>



<p>Here, you will encounter a number of chimpanzees having fun
in the jungle full of numerous entertaining monkeys, birds and chimpanzees.
This park also has one of the most beautiful tracks of tropical forest in the
whole of Uganda. </p>



<p>After completing the trek successfully, you will have lunch
and visit Bigodi wetland where you will encounter various bird species, and
several primates such as the baboons. In addition to that, this destination
also exposes you to the local communities who are carrying out their
activities. These people will tell you how rural looks like.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Day 6: Have Morning Game Drive and Boat cruise</h2>



<p>After breakfast, you will be transferred to Bwindi impenetrable Forest national park passing via the famous ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth national park. Here, you will cite a new wonder (the tree climbing Lions) relaxing on top of the tree branches. Then later, continue to Bwindi impenetrable forest national park, a home to half of the world’s endangered mountain Gorillas with lunch enroute, the endangered mountain Gorilla species are one of the most interesting mammals to encounter while in Your Ugandan trip. Check-in for dinner and an overnight at the lodge. </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Day 7: Trek the Gorillas and Cultural encounter</h2>



<p>Immediately after breakfast, report to the parks’ sector headquarters
for gorilla trekking briefing by the Uganda Wildlife Authority park ranger
guides. They will take you through the dos and don’ts of Gorilla trekking
before heading for the exercise. The pursuit for the Gorillas can last for
about 2 -6 hours depending on the movements of the Gorillas.</p>



<p>Just make sure you are fit and healthy move with a hiking
boots, good cloths, Water, Support stick, among other things. Upon finding the
Gorillas, you will be given chance to interact with gorillas for a period of
one hour while taking photos of the primates.</p>



<p>Get back for lunch as you get ready to encounter the Batwa
pygmies, who will give you a feel of African culture by telling you some of
their stories, as well as performances of the oldest hunters and gatherers in
the world. Upon completing, head back to your accommodation for lunch and check
in.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Day 8: Bwindi to Lake Bunyonyi</h2>



<p>After breakfast, proceed to Lake Bunyonyi located in Kabale,
this is the second deepest lake in Africa and the best choice for birders worldwide.
The soothing songs of the birds will welcome you to their paradise known by
many as the second Switzerland in Africa; this place derives its name from a

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Day 9: Explore Lake Bunyonyi</h2>

morning breakfast, spend the whole day enjoying the atmosphere at Lake Bunyonyi
located in Kabale, this is the second deepest lake in Africa and a great place
for birders.</p>



<p>Known as the “Switzerland of Africa”, Lake Bunyonyi offers
its visitors the best relaxation points. With over 29 islands full of history
and beautiful sceneries, the local guides will lead on a traditional dugout canoe
to the different islands, explaining the history of the place. You can also opt
to go to the reptile village to spot some of the different snakes, crocodiles
among others. Enjoy your lunch and visit the neighboring communities in the evening

visit include; Kibale National park which is a primate world with over 13
primate species such as chimpanzees, olive monkeys, vervet monkeys, white and black
Colobus monkeys and so much more.</p>



<p>Enjoy a game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park which possesses variety of wildlife species including the tree-climbing lions, buffaloes, elephants, antelopes to mention but a few; don’t miss the luxury boat experience in Kazinga channel which connects both Lake Edward and Lake George with a variety of crocodiles, hippos, birds and some wild animals that have come to drink water. <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Day 1: Pick up and Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park for primate viewing</h2>



<p>On arrival at the
airport, our expert guide will wait and give you a warm welcome, and then brief
you about the whole trip. Transfer to the primate world of Kibale Forest, home
to over 13pirate species such as the chimpanzees, Columbus monkeys, baboons
among others.</p>



<p>You will have lunch in
Mubende town before proceeding to Kibale forest national park, passing through the
beautiful towns of Mityana and Kyenjojo, and on the approach to the park, catch
the magnificent views of the snow-capped mountain Rwenzori before checking into
your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Day 2: Trek Chimpanzees and visit Bigodi wetland</h2>



<p>After early morning
breakfast, you will go to the park’s headquarters to be briefed about
chimpanzee trekking. This will commence at 8:00am before heading to the jungle
for an unforgettable experience. Chimpanzee tracking exercise in Kibale’s
795km2 national park is very interesting, as you encounter several chimpanzees moving
on with their daily activities in the jungle-covered with the sweet melodies of
birds, monkeys such as the Colobus, blue tailed and Vervet.</p>



<p>Chimpanzees are the
closest relatives to the human beings sharing up to 98% of their DNA with that
of the human beings. Other treasures you will see include; the Lhotse’s monkeys,
grey cheeked Mangabeys, and numerous bird species which include; green breasted
pita, rumped tinker bird, etc. </p>



<p>After a very delicious
lunch, visit Bigodi swamp which is a very excellent spot for bird watching as
well as viewing those primates you could have missed. This destination is also
occupied by many locals who can equally make your experience a better one.
Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Day 3: Head to Queen Elizabeth National Park</h2>



<p>After a very hefty
breakfast, embark on a 3-4 hour drive to Queen Elizabeth National park (a
medley of wonders), passing via fort portal with amazing scenic views and
beauty of the Rwenzori ranges. Queen Elizabeth national park is home to several
wildlife including over 600 bird species. The mammals include elephants,
buffaloes, and lions among others. </p>



<p>On arrival, check-in
at the lodge, relax and receive a very yummy meal prepared by expert chefs. Afterwards,
head to Kazinga channel for a boat cruise, while here, you stand a chance of
spotting aquatic animals such as the hippos and crocodiles right at the river
banks. In addition, your eyes might also direct you to see some of the thirsty
animals that come to drink water or have a bath. Return to the lodge for dinner
and overnight.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Day 4: Have a Morning game drive and Cultural encounter</h2>



<p>Wake up to an early
morning breakfast, and head to the park to engage in an early morning game
drive, to view the early morning risers in kasenyi track as they go hunting for
their meal as well as the night hunters coming back to take shelter. Here, you
will chance to view many animals such as; lions, elephants, solitary buffaloes,
Kobs, antelopes, etc. </p>



<p>Head back to the lodge
for a very energy-giving meal covered with unforgettable aroma, upon finishing,
you will meet the local communities around the park who will make your tour
very memorable with some performances such as dances, storytelling among others.
Get back to the lodge for Dinner and overnight.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Day 5: Head to Bwindi National park – home of gorilla safaris</h2>



<p>After breakfast drive
towards south of the park through the wonderful glittering Savannah vegetation
to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park via the Ishasha sector, which is well
known for the tree climbing lions.</p>



<p>Though it might sound magical,
Tree climbing Lions exist and are interesting to view as they rest on tree
branches. Proceed to Bwindi, a home to half of the world’s remaining endangered
mountain gorillas, Uganda’s pride. Check in to your accommodation for dinner
and overnight.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Day 6: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park</h2>



<p>Enjoy an early morning
breakfast, and later proceed to park headquarters to have a briefing about the
dos and don’ts of gorilla trekking in Bwindi. At about 8:30am, Uganda wildlife
authority rangers will then accompany you to the rainforest to start your search
for the gentle giants.</p>



<p>With your hiking
boots, camera, binoculars, water container, the strenuous activity will be made
very simple and successful since it is a life time experience. The trekking pursuit
will start right at the point where the rangers last saw the primates while
following the broken tree branches. Upon finding them, you are given an
allowance of one hour to watch a gorilla family as it interacts freely and
members go on with their daily activities.</p>



<p>When done, return to
the lodge for your lunch and in the afternoon, visit the Batwa community to
enjoy some cultural performances before retiring at your lodge.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Day 7: Depart For Your flight In Entebbe International Airport</h2>



<p>After a very delicious
breakfast, embark on your journey to Kampala, with a stopover at the equator
for some photos and lunch at Igongo cultural center. This is a place where you
will enjoy the history of western Uganda and other facts that you will be
told.&nbsp; Then proceed to Entebbe
international airport for your flight.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Day 4: Gorilla trekking tour in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park<br></h2>



<p>Wake up to a morning breakfast, and with your packed lunch, you will walk to the park headquarters for briefing about gorilla trekking. The Uganda wildlife authority rangers will take you through all the dos and don’ts while with mountain gorillas, and after that, you will head to the starting point of your gorilla family.  Just put in mind that gorilla family allocation depends on your interests, fitness and age.<br></p>



<p>Though it might be strenuous, gorilla trekking is very interesting. With the sweet melodies of the birds and the sights of some primates such as baboons, monkeys, turning the whole activity into memorable adventure every minute that passes.<br></p>



<p>Gorilla trekking can take from 30 minutes to three quarters of the day depending on how far these primates have gone, with one hour given to you to just relax and study their behaviors and observe their lifestyle. Thereafter, trek back to the park headquarters to pick your certificates before heading back for dinner and overnight at your Lodge.<br></p>

With your supporting stick, binoculars, cameras, trekking shoes, you will head to the forest accompanied by a park ranger who will lead you in the quest of this human relatives, the whole activity might take 3-5 hours depending on how far the Gorillas have gone. <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Day 1: Kampala to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park<br></h2>



<p>You will be picked up from your Hotel in Kampala after breakfast by our professional guide. Thereafter, drive to the southwestern part of Uganda via Masaka, enroute, you will have two stopovers; at the Equator to take photographs and buy souvenirs and proceed to Mbarara for lunch. You will then drive through the rolling hills sighting the great banana plantations and stunning terraced Kigezi highlands. This will be a fantastic journey as you will have some more wonderful views of various landscapes. On reaching the park, check-in at your lodge for dinner and an overnight.<br></p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Day 2: Gorilla tracking and cultural encounter in Bwindi Impenetrable National park. <br></h2>



<p>After early morning breakfast, leave the lodge with packed lunch and report to the park headquarters for briefing at 8:30am, the Uganda Wildlife Authority guides will take you through the rules and guidelines for gorilla trekking. Thereafter, the park rangers will accompany you to the jungle to commence with the trekking exercise. </p>



<p>This tracking activity starts from the point where they last found the Gorillas the previous day or following the broken tree branches. How long it takes to track gorillas is determined by how far the Gorillas have gone, this can take 2 to 4hours. You will have a great time with this human relatives possessing 98% of the human DNA ,watch them interact as you learn some new things , afterwards, return back to your lodge.<br></p>



<p>Refresh as you wait to visit the nearby communities to engage and see how people live around this area, especially the Batwa pygmies who are an indigenous group of people and have spent majority of their lives as gatherers and hunters. <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Day 3: Bwindi Impenetrable National park to Lake Bunyonyi<br></h2>



<p>Immediately after an early morning cup of coffee, embark on your journey to Lake Bunyonyi located in Kabale, this lake also happens to be the second deepest lake in Africa and a great place for birders. The sweet sounds of the birds will welcome you to their paradise that is basically known as the second Switzerland in Africa, the word Bunyonyi means Small birds in the local language.<br></p>



<p>Upon arrival, you will go for a sunset canoe trip on the lake where you will be able to see various birds, communities, landforms such as the islands (up to 29 islands). Take as much photographs as you can. Afterwards, have lunch and in the evening visit nearby communities to experience what a village life seems like in this area.<br></p>

<p>Do you ever wonder whether you can encounter the Gorillas within a limited schedule? When probably traveling on a budget yet hoping to spend some time with the mountain gorillas of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park? This 3 days Bwindi Gorilla safari begins and ends within Kigali, Rwanda and takes a shorter time than if you had started from Kampala (Uganda).  The best option, therefore, is to arrive at Kigali International Airport then drive to Bwindi, the journey that lasts only 4 hours.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park</h2>



<p>Upon arrival, our driver-guide will meet and pick you from Kigali International Airport, go for a city tour where you will visit some of the Genocide Memorial sites as well as local Craft and fruit markets and have lunch before proceeding to Uganda, while feeding your eyes with the scenic views of the rolling hills of Rwanda, and finally to the home of half of the remaining mountain Gorillas, Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park.<br></p>



<p>Drive through the Katuna and Cyanika border posts, a journey that will roughly take 4-5 hours. While driving to the Park, you will also be rewarded with the jaw-dropping views of the beautiful landscape and rolling hills that characterize the Kigezi highlands, dubbed the “Switzerland of Africa”. Check-in to the Lodge for dinner and overnight stay.<br></p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Day 2: Bwindi Gorilla Trekking<br></h2>



<p>After early morning breakfast, you will head to the Park’s Headquarters for pre-tracking briefing about the dos’ and don’ts of tracking and encountering the critically endangered mountain gorillas by the Park rangers. After that, the rangers will guide you to the jungles to encounter one of the habituated gorilla families.<br></p>



<p>With a walking stick, a backpack (containing drinking water, non-flash camera, binoculars, snacks/or packed lunch), you will be dropped at the starting point for the adventure then hike through the dense forest searching for these primates as well as enjoying the sweet melodies of the birds in the tree branches.<br></p>



<p>All this exercise might take roughly 2-3 hours depending on how far the gorillas have gone, furthermore, one hour will be given to you to interact with this human relative with 98%human DNA, studying their behaviors among others. It should be noted that the activity is strenuous and requires participants to be physically fit.<br></p>



<p>However, the magical moment of meeting face to face with the giant Apes will make you forget whatever challenge you went through, take photographs and videos before returning to the Lodge for lunch and relaxation. The afternoon will be for community/village tours to spend some quality time with the local communities living around Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You will meet the oldest culture on the planet earth; these are the Batwa pygmies who have lived a life of wandering and gathering in the forests.<br></p>



<p>While here, you will be entertained with some of the traditional songs and dances and learn about their lifestyles. Dinner and overnight will be at the lodge. <br></p>

<p>You will commence this 3 Days Gorilla Safari to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and Lake Bunyonyi, with a city tour in Kigali which is the capital city of Rwanda, here; you will visit the historical sites of those who died during the genocide. Then proceed to Uganda for the real rewarding adventure experience in the jungle of Bwindi impenetrable forest national park, home to half of the remaining mountain Gorillas alongside several primate species. Not only that, your safari will be made more interesting as you take a visit to the scenic Lake Bunyonyi known to be home to over 29 islands and romantic terraced hills. </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Day 1: City tour and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park</h2>



<p>After early morning breakfast, our driver-guide will have a brief Kigali City Tour with you. Here, you will visit the Gisozi Genocide Memorial Site where you will learn about the 1994 Rwanda Genocide that witnessed almost a million people dead in just a small space of time. Upon conclusion, you will have Lunch in Kigali town before embarking on a 4-5 hour journey to the north, as you head to Bwindi Impenetrable forest National Park.<br></p>



<p>This route goes through the Cyanika Border, where you will have a stopover at the Twin Lakes of Burera and Ruhondo. After, proceed past the Mgahinga Gorilla National Park while feeding your eyes with the 3 Virunga Mountains: Sabyinyo, Muhabura, and Gahinga Mountains. Proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in South Western Uganda and check-in for dinner and overnight.<br></p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Day 2: Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi</h2>



<p>After every sumptuous cup of coffee early in the morning, Head to the park headquarter for gorilla Trekking briefing that starts at  7:30am, the Uganda wildlife authority rangers will take you through the do’s and don’ts while in the wilderness with the Gorillas. The park rangers will accompany you through the jungle as you track your allocated gorilla family.<br></p>



<p>This whole experience may last between 1 up to 4 hours with one hour allowance given to you to just spend with the Gorillas, relax in the forest and enjoy listening to the gorillas grumble to each other, get amazed to the sheer size of the male silverback as well as studying their behaviors, don’t forget to take some photos.<br></p>



<p>Upon Completion, head back to the parks’ headquarters for a picnic lunch before driving to Lake Bunyonyi late in the evening for dinner and overnight.<br></p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Day 3: Explore Bunyonyi &amp; Drop Off at Kigali<br></h2>



<p>With up 29 islands surrounding it, Lake Bunyonyi is one of the most beautiful places any tourist to Uganda ought to reach, this destination is rich in history and different bird species all around, singing sweet melodies to the guest who comes to either relax or visit the different islands. <br></p>



<p>Wake up to an early morning breakfast as you enjoy the striking sun’s rays. Immediately after, get into a very safe canoe where the guide will sail with you on the water taking you through the history of different islands as you visit them, especially the punishment island.<br></p>



<p>This was also named the second Switzerland in Africa. All these will be done for roughly 3-4 hours before you have lunch, check out of the accommodation and embark on a 4-5 hour journey to Kigali for an evening flight.</p>

<p>Our expert driver-guide will welcome you upon arrival at the Kigali International Airport and head to the Republic of Uganda through the rolling hills of Rwanda. Driving through Ruhengeri in the Musanze province, and proceeding to the Cyanika border or Gatuna Border posts in Kisoro or Kabale districts respectively having great views of the volcanoes, twin lakes or Lake Mutanda. Due to the beauty along the way, you can have photography moments as you head to the lodge.<br></p>



<p>There will be a check-in and out of the immigration offices at the border post before proceeding through to Bwindi Impenetrable forest National Park in Uganda. Upon arrival at the park, you will have several options of where to track the mountain gorillas with Nkuringo and Rushaga sectors emerging the best as they are very close to the border with Rwanda. However, other sectors include Ruhija and the Buhoma that equally offer the best experience. Have your Dinner and Overnight.<br></p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Day 2:  Bwindi Gorilla Trekking &amp; Back to Kigali</h2>



<p>After a very delicious early morning breakfast, you will walk to the park headquarters for briefing about gorilla trekking. The Uganda wildlife authority guides will take you through all the dos and don’ts while with mountain gorillas, this whole briefing might last for roughly 30 minutes to one hour before you head to the jungle for a 3-4 hour trekking depending on how far the gorillas have moved.<br></p>



<p>The park rangers start the tracking from the last point they encountered the mammals the previous day following the broken tree branches while enjoying the sweet melodies of the birds in the air, alongside the beautiful sights of some primates you may come across. Upon finding the gorillas, you will be given one hour to just relax and watch them play and interact.<br></p>



<p>After such an awesome experience, the driver will then drive you back to Kigali Rwanda through Katuna or Cyanika border for your overnight stay in Kigali town or your international departure flight. Please ensure that you book flights that depart late from Kigali International Airport if you intend to fly back on the second day.<br></p>

<p>Walk hand in hand with Chimpanzees in Kibaale National Park and endure the crazy experience trekking Gorilla in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Bwindi national park is home to over half of the remaining endangered mountain gorillas. You will spend about an hour close to the gorillas go about their life and take photos. This once-in-a-lifetime experience will take you through the Afro-montane and tropical rain forests of Uganda.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><u>5 Days Uganda Gorilla &amp; Chimpanzee Trekking Itinerary</u></h2>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Day 1: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park</h2>



<p> In the morning, we leave for Kibale Forest. We will arrive at Kibale Forest Camp in the afternoon, settle in and rest after the long drive. </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Day 2: Chimpanzee Trekking &amp; Swamp Walk</h2>



<p> The 4 hour chimp walk will start at 8:00am during which you may also get to see 10 other primates! Kibaale National Park is also known for its assorted butterflies and birds species. In the afternoon we will take a jungle walk through Bigodi Swamp. </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park</h2>



<p> We will pass mountains, hills and lakes with cultivated terraces, tropical rainforest and bamboo forest until we get to Kisoro where we will stay in the famous Travellers Rest Hotel. </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Day 4: Bwindi Gorilla Trekking</h2>



<p> Early in the morning, we will drive to the starting point of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest NP. Once there we will be briefed and the tracking will start immediately after It might be challenging and you need to be physically fit but once you have found the gorillas, you will be able to spend up to one hour with them! <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Day 5: Back to Kampala</h2>

In the morning, we will head back to Kampala. We shall make a couple of stops for lunch and to pick up souvenirs.

<p>What can you do in a week? We have some stress-busting ideas and you will love them. We will hike through Kibale Forest to observe and hang out with the wild chimpanzees. They have been habituated so they won’t mind some company. We will check out the Uganda Kob’s mating grounds at Queen Elizabeth National Park, take a launch trip(boat-ride) on the Kazinga Channel and watch the abundant wildlife on the waterfront. We saved the best for last: trekking through Bwindi Impenetrable‘s  afromontane forests to track a family of mountain gorillas. Wild enough for you?</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><u>7 Days Uganda Safari Itinerary</u></h2>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Day 1: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park</h2>



<p> We will pick you up early morning and head straight to Kibale NP. We will get to Kibale in the late afternoon and rest up at Kibale Forest Camp.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Day 2: Chimp Tracking &amp; Swamp Walk</h2>



<p>Our chimp walk starts at 8am. You are guaranteed to see a lot of primates during the trek. In the afternoon, we will go for a jungle walk through Bigodi Swamp where you will find plenty of wildlife and a huge variety of bird species. </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park</h2>



<p>In the morning, we will head out to Queen Elizabeth NP. We will arrive in the late afternoon and check into The Bush Lodge. At around 4pm, we will head out for a quick game drive till about 7pm were will head back to the lodge and rest. </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Day 4: Game Drive &amp; Boat Cruise</h2>



<p> In the morning, we will head out for a game drive on the plains of the park where there is plenty of wildlife to see up close like lions and elephants among so many others. Also on the menu is a 2 hour boat-ride on the Kazinga Channel to scope out the wildlife on the waterfront and the bevy of bird species. The day is not complete until we also check out the mating grounds of the Uganda Kob inside the park. </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Day 5: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park</h2>



<p> In the morning, we will set off further south for Bwindi Impenetrable NP through Rukungiri. It&#8217;s an exciting trip with all the hills and valleys. On the way we will make a quick stop at Savana Lodge for lunch before driving on to Bwindi. We will reach late in the evening and check into our new accommodations. </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Day 6: Mountain Gorilla Trekking</h2>



<p> In the morning, we will drive to the starting point at the edge of the park for a briefing session before starting the trek at 8.30am. This can go on for hours and requires you to be physically fit. Once we find the gorillas, you are allowed to be with them for an hour before we have to get back to the starting point at 7pm. Then back to the lodge. </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Day 7: Back to Kampala</h2>



<p>

Early in the morning after breakfast we will travel back to Kampala. There will be several opportunities on the way to take pictures and grab souvenirs.
