The 7 days Tanzania Wildlife safari specifically takes you to some of the world’s greatest wonders in Tanzania’s Northern Circuit; including Ngorongoro Conservation Area comprising one of Tanzania’s highest concentration mammals and notable population of carnivores and predators. A visit to Tarangire National Park exposes one to biggest herds of elephants in Africa and Lake Manyara National park is hub to the only group of tree climbing lions in Tanzania, dramatic wildlife as well as a shallow soda lake situated on the edge of East African rift valley.

Day 1: Arusha – Lake Manyara

Pick up from airport or hotel in Arusha and depart for Lake
Manyara National park. This specific national Park is popular for its beautiful
pink flamingos, climbing lions plus dramatic population of wildlife. Arrive,
check in and immediately take a short game drive or just relax at the lodge,
have lunch and once again head out into the park to admire Manyara’s landscape,
nature and spend valuable time with lions, antelopes, hippos, zebras etc.

During a flamingo season, Lake Manyara is the best place to
view pink flamingos as they feed on algae along the lake shores. Retire for dinner and overnight stay at a pre-booked lodge.

Day 2: Lake Manyara to Serengeti National Park

Have breakfast, and head to Tanzania’s and Africa’s most
popular park, the Serengeti National Park. This is a journey of 205km,
traversing the adorable Serengeti plains, pleasant high lying farmlands of
Karatu as well as the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

Descend into the heart of Serengeti national park, with its
rolling savannah plains, stretching to as far as the eyes can see, and straight
into the central area of the park – Seronera area which is one of the premier
wildlife hubs of the park, featuring River Seronera a water source for many
animals in the area.

Check in at the lodge in time for lunch, relax and in the
afternoon, head out for a game drive to explore some of the park’s residents
before sunset.

Day 3: Explore the Serengeti Plains

A morning / sunrise hot air balloon is the best way to ride
over the scenic Serengeti landscape, while spotting rich game, meandering
rivers and the numerous pockets of villages.

Return for breakfast, and after go for yet another game drive
along River Sogore circuit. This river meanders through the plains south of the
Seronera river, making it a perfect habitat for lions, Thomson Gazelles,
Ostriches, Topis, and cheetahs.

Have lunch at the lodge, and later follow the Kopjes’ circuit
which runs anti-clockwise around the Maasai Kopjes, an excellent shelter for
huge prides of lions and formidable colonies of cobras. These Kopjes are well
scattered around the Serengeti Plains, characterized by water pools which
attract numerous animals particular in dry season to quench their thirst. Hence
this is a spot for exclusive wild game watching.

Day 4: Serengeti National park – Ngorongoro Crater

Early breakfast and drive out of Serengeti, heading to
Ngorongoro conservation area on a journey that takes approximately 4-5 hours.
This place is famously referred to as “Africa’s Garden of Eden” and ranks 8th
among the world’s natural wonders. On arrival, have lunch and immediately head
out for an extensive safari along Ngorongoro Crater Lake, with its shores
teeming with amazing rare and endangered wildlife species, ranging from the Big
Five, carnivores, bird species and outstanding scenery. You will enjoy watching
this beautiful scenery.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater Exploration

A warm breakfast and later descend into a 600m scenic crater
for an experiential day of full game drive. The Ngorongoro is particularly home
to over 30,000 animals making it one of the most wildlife – filled places in
the world and a shelter to some of East Africa’s remaining black rhinos.

Due to its year round supply of water and pasture, the
Ngorongoro conservation area is without doubt filled with variety of wildlife
for a good reason. Permanent residents here include Zebras, warthogs, elands,
hippos, giant African elephants, buffaloes, etc. Predators include cheetahs,
lions, leopards, jackals and hyenas. During a favorite season of the great
migration, which happens between June-September, visitors can sight the
magnificent wildebeest migration crossing from the Serengeti to Maasai Mara
National park.

Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater to Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, undertake a 3.5 hours’ drive to Tarangire
national park, traversing along the Tarangire river. This area is mainly
comprised of low lying hills scattered on the floor of the East African Rift
Valley.

The acacia woodland vegetation, huge swamps, giant African
Baobab trees all characterize this region and are magnets to millions of
wildlife species especially during the dry season.

Take a picnic lunch, and immediately go on a game drive. Among other common sightings, Tarangire specifically is home to three rare species of animals, including the greater Kudu, fringed – eared Oryx, and the shy starling. Retire from the game drive, have dinner at the lodge and overnight stay..

Day 7: Tarangire National Park – Arusha Airport

Start the day with a pre-breakfast game safari to encounter
Tarangire’s rarest species, especially the night hunters like leopards, lions,
hyenas, jackals, owls, etc. return to the lodge for a sumptuous breakfast, and
immediately check out of the lodge. Drive for 2 hours heading to Arusha town.

Arrive in time for lunch, do some shopping and
depending on your flight time be dropped off at the airport for departure
flight.

of the sightings. Some visitors prefer to stay out in the bush until sunset to
watch the herds as they return to their dens and kraals, while others like
spending the afternoon relaxing at the lodge and watch the mammals roam past.

As you travel to Ngorongoro crater from Tarangire, you
realize that you’re soon embarking on Africa’s most unforgettable experiences.
Bordered by an extinct caldera and a pink – dappled lake in the middle, wild
life sightings in Ngorongoro are almost immediate!

Watch various prides of lions as they prowl, solitary elephant
bulls marching around and elusive black rhinos grazing comfortably in the
morning breeze. There are only a few thousands of these endangered rhinos remaining
and Ngorongoro crater is one of the few places to meet them. In addition, there
are almost a million wildebeests and you spot huge herds of them kicking up
dust as they gallop across the floor of Ngorongoro crater.

As you enjoy a tasty picnic lunch overlooking a pool of
hippos, the views of Maasai warriors grazing their cattle down the crater floor
come so clearer as well as tense fights between lions and wildebeests. Spend
the late afternoon and night at a gorgeous lodge regularly visited by wild
game.

Day 5: Travel to Lake Manyara National Park

mark the end of your 6 days’ northern circuit safari.
